Reiki-In Japanese, a technique that translates to "universal light energy," and it's a practice that involves placing hands on or above a person to "direct energy to help facilitate the person's own healing response," Many people use Reiki as a complementary approach to treat chronic pain, manage anxiety, heal from injuries, and reduce depression. During a Reiki session, a practitioner might place their hands just above or on parts of their client's body, such as the head or feet, to help the "energy" flow through their body. The whole process is meditative and calming. A Reiki session lasts one hour to 90 minutes, and people usually book a series of sessions to continue their Reiki practice.
Flow--is derived from the chiropractic field but is energy based. With this technique we address the central nervous system and look for specific connection points along the spine that will help to facilitate the persons own healing response. During a flow session, there will be light touches either on the body or right above down the spine and along the central nervous system line. It too is calming and meditative and is meant for managing emotions, pain, or injuries. This session can last anywhere from 45 min to an hour.
Both of these modalities are Great for people who have experienced trauma and or the elderly where a gentler touch is appreciated.
